I had the best laid plans in the world standing at St. Pancras Station yesterday to catch ther 15.25 train back to Sheffield only to be told all trains were nopt going to move on the line as power cables had blown down in the Bedford Area. Good Old Midland Mainline sent us across to Kings Cross to go north to Doncaster and then across to Sheffield.
I to can confirm on the way up just prior to Peterborough I witnessed the "Fen Blow" all I could see from the train window was blackness from wind swept top soil. Well I did make my preaching engagement. I think the fen blow is like some of the dust storms that Anne Marie Michaud tells me you have in the states. We had very high winds and squalls with hail mixed in quite spectacular. Brian Jones |
