the milder weather continues,it sure has been sunny, pleasantly mild weather the past few days.i had another sunny pleasantly mild day again on wednesday.so after a cloudy morning with lows at 44 degrees, the sun eventually came out blazing during mid-late morning into the afternoon with milder weather as air temps went to 66.5 degrees at 1240pm wednesday afternoon, then my air temps stayed above 60 degrees for another 4hrs.i didnt drop back below 60 degrees till after 5pm,but even so,my air temps remained in the upper 50s all last night into midnight,it was still 58 degrees at 1150pm.i was watching a low pressure system off the mid-atlantic coast waiting and seeing if some moisture would overspread the area last night, and sure enough it did after 9pm,i started having light rain after 9pm,and it rained into the overnight hours.i barely have any rain happening right now,its just cloudy and rather breezy outside.the sun is expected to come out mid-late morning into the afternoon with highs above 60 degrees.i should be able to reach 70 degrees today if i get plenty of sunshine.my air temps are 55.5 degrees as of 602am,while my dewpoints are 52 degrees

i sure did have alotta clouds around this past thursday morning into the afternoon, the sun did try to come out for awhile.but as it did come out for an hour, then the clouds rolled back in again with mostly cloudy breezy weather.it was another beautiful day,the air temps went back above 60 degrees thursday afternoon with a high of 64.4 degrees at 115pm in the afternoon.my air temps aint expected to drop all that much thursday night into friday, infact they didnt, the air temps stayed in mid 50s with a low of 56.5 degrees at 445am in the morning.the hybrid low that developed off of the mid-atlantic did infact launch some rain in here wednesday afternoon into this morning,it was a pretty good moderate rainfall.but all during today, the hybrid low has been falling apart as a bunch of dry airmass got sucked into the system, because as soon as it left the warm waters of the gulf stream it fizzled.but it sure was windy all day wednesday and all day thursday, and all of a sudden during thursday night at 10-11pm tonight, the winds died down completely

so after a cold start this morning, lol, only kidding.what a balmy start to the day today on friday, its already 56 degrees outside this morning.so as i awakened this friday morning,it was rather cloudy outside, and from the looks at the sat pic imagery animation im not going to be having hardly any sun at all today.but even with the clouds,i will still have a nice, pleasantly mild day today.i couldnt believe how warm and tropical today felt,it felt even warmer and tropical on friday than it did on thursday.the air temps went to 68.6 degrees at 135pm early friday afternoon with dewpoints first at 54.4 degrees and climbed up to 59.5 degrees.so it sure did feel warm and tropical outside,i was like wow,if that sun came out and i had mostly sunny sky,i bet the air temps would easily reach or exceed 80 degrees because you could really feel the warmth in the airmass outside.then during friday night, the cold front is heading my way with cooler and less humid airmass.so the air temps fall back to 54.4 degrees by early saturday morning.

so here i am waking up saturday morning, its only 54.4 degrees this morning for a morning low at 545am.i took a look at the sat pic imagery animation and water vapor,so maybe i will have some sun at times today, but not that much from the way it looks right now.so i had a rather cloudy, breezy cooler day on saturday, the air temps only went to 57.5 degrees at 730am this morning.then the air temps trended lower during mid-late morning into the afternoon.so by the time it was around 3pm,my air temps dropped 10 degrees down to 47.5 degrees.i thought i was gonna get some rain from the way the clouds were looking during saturday afternoon, but nothing much happened at all.then i noticed during late saturday a big wind shift take place,i also saw the clouds change direction from the south/southwest to northwest direction and it got windy and cooler ever since.

so during saturday night into sunday morning, the clouds broke up and the winds died down a bit,and the air temps fell back down to 33.5 degrees by 430am sunday morning.i thought it felt a bit chilly outside after having my fan in the window alnight lol.so as i waking up sunday morning,i took a look at the sky,it was rather cloudy outside, but it wasnt windy or breezy at all.but i noticed a clearing coming in from my west/northwest sky,i thought to myself it should be clear skys in an hour.then it was almost 7am,and all of a sudden the clearing skys came right in and i had clear blue skys in the matter of minutes with some puffy high clouds.so finally,it looks like it will be a partly-mostly sunny day today with air temps in the mid-upper 40s.so i had sunny skys from early morning into early afternoon, then at 2pm,and all of a sudden dark black storm clouds came rolling in here, the sun still stayed out for awhile.then the dark black storm clouds covered the sun,and it got darker and darker outside.i was like woww,it sure looks like its ready to do something out here.i thought for certain i was gonna get nailed with heavy rains, possible hail and heavy winds.but, for some unknown reason, nothing much happened at all,i was really surprised after the way the sky looked and then got so dark outside.so i had a high yesterday of 47.5 degrees at 1240pm.

so sunday afternoon sure did look like it was gonna get stormy outside, then it turned and it didnt do anything.i was like come on,it looked like t-storms and torrential downpours, hail and heavy winds.but i turned it on my local weather channel since i was already downstairs after 2pm grabbing a bite to eat.i was sitting there on my porch eating fried chicken and pototoes waiting for something to break loose outside with the bad weather.but nothing happened,i looked at my local weather from news channel 13 and 10,i looked at the vipir hd radar and there wasnt i could see in the area.so it cleared off late in the afternoon into the evening for awhile, the air temps began to drop back thru the 40s slowly and into the 30s late last night.but i see that the clouds returned last night into this morning, because of this closed off low pressure system thats been north of the great lakes sending spokes of energy rotating around it and it rotates down thru albany, nassau into pittsfield.so it looks like this spoke of energy will be rotating thru albany, nassau into pittsfield by daybreak monday morning.i see that cayman brac and eastern cuba took a direct hit from a powerfull cat 4 hurricane during this weekend, its like just when you think the hurricane season is over, and all of a sudden it comes back and shows you that im still alive and here i come for one more roar.

the closed low north of the great lakes did indeed sent a spoke of energy towards central and eastern ny and western ma in the berkshires, the main energy with spoke of energy has been hitting central ny while only some of it has made it down into albany, nassau into pittsfield very early this morning.i was beginning to wonder if the airmass would be cold enough to support wet snow this morning, but so far its not cold enough, because its raining outside.i can see that colder airmass is still pushing southeastward,so its still possible wet snow may still mix in this morning into early afternoon as this spoke of energy rotates thru the area into the afternoon.the airmass will continue to get cooler today into tonight as air temps wont rise much today only to about 40 degrees or so,then air temps should drop back into the mid 20s tomorrow morning.im getting some pretty good light-moderate outside now with everything getting wet and puddles forming.so far,i dont see any wet snow falling just yet.my air temps are 38.5 degrees as of 605am while my dewpoints are 32.5 degrees.the cooler airmass should change the rain over to snow pretty soon, but its doubtfull the snow will be accumulating snows.

the rain or snow should be ending and all over and done with by mid afternoon, then it will remain cloudy for the remainder of the afternoon with more colder airmass filtering into albany, nassau into pittsfield, therefor the temps should fall back into the mid 20s tonight.then tomorrow,it will be mostly sunny skys.so even with mostly sunny skys, the air temps aint expected to rise much at all, maybe to lower 40s at best by early afternoon.then clear skys and calm conditions tuesday night into wednesday morning should allow air temps to drop down near 20 degrees.

the past few days have been rather tanquill outside with nothing much really happening,it sure has been rather cloudy outside the past few days with not much sunshine to speak of.but the airmass has been feeling a bit colder each day during the past few days,i been having night time lows of 26,24 and 22 degrees recently with hard frosts and freezes.the sun did come out for while tuesday afternoon and wednesday afternoon, but then the clouds came back in and clouded back up again.i havnt had any real artic cold snaps yet,i havnt had any snowstorms either.so far,the weather has been really tranquill with nothing much happening.i see i got a new storm system heading my way from the great lakes and southeast with much milder airmass coming my way,the warm front is nearby and it sure looks like the warm front will push thru the area.so right now, moisture has been developing from the clashes of the airmasses along and ahead of the warm front.the milder airmass will win,the low will be west of the area.but a more significant punch of artic airmass is coming from a stronger low and cold front sweeping down the northern plains and upper midwest.so it looks like this will be here by early next week with much colder airmass.so cloudy with wet snow developing, then changing to light rain and ending during the morning hours.then cloudy with possible light rain during the day with air temps rising into the mid 40s,the warm should already be thru the area by tonight, therefor air temps will remain in the mid 40s tonight with light rain.the light rain should be all over and done with by early friday morning, the sun should be coming out by late morning into the afternoon with air temps reaching or exceeding 60 degrees friday afternoon.then cloudy with rain and windy condition friday night, the cold front looks to sweep through overnight into very early saturday morning.so rain showers late friday night should change over to wet snowflakes overnight into early saturday morning, then windy and colder with air temps only in the 30s both saturday and sunday.then another cold artic airmass arrives monday night into tuesday.but right now,my air temps are 31.5 degrees as of 515am,while my dewpoints are 27.3 degrees

the wet snow and sleet started at 6am this morning, the mixture lasted till 640am,then became all light rain into 730am and then ended shortly there after.then another batch of rain came in during late morning into early afternoon, then ended by 2pm.then remained cloudy for a couple of hours, then another batch of rain came in during 4pm into 530pm.the low pressure system is already heading into south east part of canada at about northern vt and nh border heading northeastward with the frontal boundry sweeping thru the area as of 6pm.so now,the milder weather will push in here with air temps remaining in the 40s tonight.i might still have some light rain tonight into tomorrow morning, but the clearing and drier weather is working into albany, nassau into pittsfield right now and will continue tonight into tomorrow.then after cloudy miserable start to the day on friday morning, then it should really brighten up outside, then some sunshine for awhile mid-late morning into friday afternoon with air temps reaching or exceeding 60 degrees.then another mild day again on saturday with rain developing by saturday afternoon.my air temps are 42 degrees as of 620pm,while my dewpoints are 38.5 degrees

so as i look at the sat pic imagery animation recently,it sure looks like the warm front is pushing thru the area,my air temps and dewpoints are rising aswell.i had a pretty soaking moderate-heavy rains last night into the overnight, very early this morning.i dont see much clouds or precip on its way for later this morning into this afternoon,so i think the sun will come out blazing for several hours during mid-late morning into mid afternoon.so if i have plenty of sunshine today,my air temps could actually reach or exceed 70 degrees.but right now it looks like some sunshine breaking out late this morning into this afternoon with a pleasantly mild afternoon with air temps in the mid 60s.my air temps are 45.5 degrees as of 448am,while my dewpoints are 42.4 degrees

the sun almost came out today,i had some big brightening of the skys several times during late morning into early afternoon.but it remained cloudy all day long as milder airmass kept pushing into the area with air temps surging into the mid-upper 50s.it looks like a low pressure system is trying to get together off the nc coast, its trying to deepen and develop into a big low pressure system off of the mid-atlantic coast, then a low with a cold front sweeping across the upper mid-west and central great lakes.so it looks like a pretty good soaking rainstorm for tomorrow into tomorrow night with a couple of inches of rain expected,so no chances at all this time around with this storm system being a snowstorm.my highest air temps went 61.3 degrees at 220pm.my air temps right now are 59.1 degrees as of 444pm,while my dewpoints are 52.4 degrees

the weather remained rather mild last night into this morning,im getting some pretty good dense fog forming outside right now,the visibility is less than a half mile.it looks like the visibility will be less than a quarter of mile shortly as the fog gets more dense.so as i look at the water vapor imagery, the enhanced ir sat pic imagery animation and models and such.well it certainly looks like a drenching rainstorm is in store for the area today and tonight with a couple of inches of rain or more.i can see the low centered over southeast missouri rotating, with a big swath of heavy rain up thru the tn and oh valleys.i can see a seperate batch of heavy duty rains and t-storms along the mid-atlantic coast, aswell as a strong line of storms just off the outer banks of nc.the first batch of heavy moisture working its way up the mid-atlantic coast coming up from va into the delmarva penninsula, including nj and nyc and long island,ny.it looks like some of this heavy rain can make it in here in a few hours from now,but it has an eastward push to it,therefor it looks like the bulk of the heavy rain from the first batch will miss us and hit nyc, long island,ny.ct.ri/central and eastern ma.while only some light-moderate rain here during mid-late morning.but if the heavy rain begins to take a more northerly track during this first batch of heavy rains, then the first batch of heavy rains could be here during mid-late morning.then after the light-moderate this morning,it looks like a dry slot is gonna come in here by late morning into early afternoon, therefor it looks like a good few hours or so with nothing much happening.the moderate-heavy rains should pick up during mid-late afternoon and last welll into the late night hours with a real good soaking rainstorm.but also, the potential exists for t-storms during these type of situations at any given time frame from mid-late this morning, then again mid-late this afternoon into tonight.i suppose of those storms hold together in the mid-atlantic states and off of the outer banks of nc and can strengthen more, then make it up into here,i will have a much more better chance for t-storms this afternoon into tonight.

so light-moderate rain this morning, then a dry spell for a few hours late this morning into early afternoon.then a much more significant rainfall coming during mid-late afternoon into late tonight with 2 inches of rain ore more expected.the air temps havnt changed much since friday afternoon into last night, and early this morning, while the air temps remained in the mid-upper 50s.so after hitting 61 degrees early yesterday afternoon,my air temps stayed in the mid-upper 50s last night.so far my low air temps are 54.4 degrees as of 504am this morning.the air temps wont change that much today with highs pretty much right where they are right now.so if this has turned out to be all snow,i guess i would be getting dumped on bigtime this morning and again later on today into tonight.my air temps are 54.4 degrees as of 507am,while my dewpoints are 51.3 degrees

i have light-moderate rain outside, but the low that formed off of the mid-atlantic coast seems to be moving pretty fast in its forward movement already heading towards cape cod.i can see the low just south central and eastern long island,ny.so some of the moderate rain did come up into the mid hudson valley and overspread the area here in great barrington up into pittsfield, but im on the northern fringes of this low pressure and therefor the rain is heading eastward and will be over with very soon.i do have a pretty good dry slot heading my way in between the low off the mid-atlantic,and now just south of long island, and the other low in southeast missouri pushing into western ky and western tn.the dry airmass should be here in a couple of hours, then remain dry for several hours late this morning into early afternoon.then it looks like sometime after 2pm,the heavy rain will pick up and deluge the area with 1-2 inches of rain this afternoon into late tonight.my air temps did drop back a bit earlier to a new morning low of 50.1 degrees at 540am.but now my air temps seem to be rebounding a little bit.because now my air temps are 52.3 degrees as of 735am,while my dewpoints are 49.7 degrees

the nssl put albany into pittsfield under a tornado watch,i wouldve mentioned it earlier,i was waiting for the situation to show me something before mentioning the tornado watch.i been having stronger wind convergence coming from the south/southwest,plus coming from the west/northwest diving downward, therefor this is ideal for tornadoes as more and more wind energy cranks up.the dark clouds have been pretty low this afternoon into right now,but i havnt seen any rotation what so ever.i just think its stupid having pittsfield under a tornado watch, because i havnt had any tornadoes in my city even though tornadoes have happened 20-25 minutes to the south of me in stockbridge/west stockbridge, lee and great barrington.but it sure does look like an excellent setup for severe storms, high winds, and possible tornadoes.you can reall see, feel and notice alotta wind energy outside.my air temps are 62.4 degrees as of 450pm,while my dewpoints are exactly 59 degrees.my highest air temps are right now

i been hit with some pretty good drenching rain last night into the overnight and early morning hours.but a quick cutoff from the rain is sliding eastward into eastern ny right now.so it looks like some more moderate rain thru 4pm,then that cold front will slice on thru by 430-5am this morning and usher in much colder airmass.the tornado watch that was issued for albany into pittsfield was nothing to worry about,i guess the tornado watch shouldnt of been issued in the first place since no tornadoes happened,so that was a bummer.i was all excited waiting for tornadoes to happen, but i couldnt see any happen at all yesterday afternoon into mid evening last night.i couldnt believe how low the clouds were getting last night, they were getting so low,it looked as though the clouds were barely above the tree line.i could see the clouds, they were really white looking cruising along at 50-60mph.the clouds are still hauling along at 50-60mph from the south heading northeast as we speak.but pretty soon, warm tropical airmass is going to be all over and done with as the much colder artic airmass pushes in here today, plus another reinforcing shot of artic airmass tomorrow night into the rest of the week.so air temps are going to be falling back into the 30s today, then in the upper 20s to mid 30s monday-friday and night time lows in the teens and lower 20s.it doesnt look like any night this up and coming week where winds subside with clear skys allowing air temps to tumble into the single numbers.my air temps are 54.2 degrees as of 305am,while my dewpoints are exactly 52 degrees.my air temps for a night time low before midnight was 64.4 degrees at 1145pm,with my dewpoints at 62.5 degrees.

cold frontal passage has happened, infact when looking at the water vapor and enhanced sat pic imagery, the cold front came thru pittsfield during 430-5am this morning.the winds already switched around to the northwest and getting more and more breezy,i can see the clouds changing direction from south/southwest to my northwest direction.the chill in the air is already feeling noticeable outside with the breezy conditions.and another thing i like to mention.we have had warm moist tropical airmass for more than 60hrs now,we are starting to get used to it and adjusting to it,therefor as this artic airmass pushes in here, its gonna be feeling alot colder than what it really feels like outside, because we got used to the beautiful warm moist tropical airmass.i say, forget about the warmth, forget about the warm moist tropical airmass, and realize this artic airmass is where we are supposed to be at this time of year.so here it comes, here comes the coldest airmass of the season.but so much mixing in the airmass wont allow the air temps to really drop like a rock to single numbers at all at night during this artic airmass this week.so the air temps will hold up at night during the next several nights compared to the cold artic airmass you will really feel during the day.so the air temps have already reached there lows as of last night before midnight at 64 degrees, while my air temps been falling ever since.the air temps will fall into the 30s today, then down near 20 degrees tonight,im not sure if i will make it outta the 20s during the day on monday.but it sure does look like an excellent setup for widespread snow squall event to get cranking up late in the afternoon, especially tonight into tomorrow.the potential exists for snow squalls tonight and tomorrow.the cold airmass will be in place monday-wednesday,then another reinforcing shot of cold artic airmass on thursday that will keep the artic airmass in the area into the weekend.my aire temps are falling at 46.2 degrees as of 615am,while my dewpoints are 39.5 degrees
