Jan. 3-4 MidAtl Storm

Just been looking ahead, since everything is deteriorating rapidly for the major cities on what was supposed to be an assured 2-4" event, on Saturday the 29th, showing how desperate we have become on the coastal plain, to a possible triple threat: COLD & phasing northern and southern stream on Thursday the 3rd, and Friday the 4th.

I can be patient through yet another wet non-event, no bitterness here, just accepting what Nature sends our way, if the look of the potential air mass coming in Thursday, over a large interior snow cover, meets up with what looks like a block, and a phasing of the northern (cold) and southern ( moisture laden ) streams.

I saw a thread which deals with multiple shortwaves, or boundary fronts, but picked this possibility out of them all, as it might deservedly earn it's place, by becoming a true mid-Atlantic coastal.

I'm no model hugger, and don't live run to run, but the larger synoptic picture says snow to me.
