I was in our office building on the second floor in Aurora and the whole second floor was rolling like a boat on a wave... our chairs were moving, computer monitors shaking... everyone was like, what is going on....5.2 on the Richter Scale, epicentre in Quebec.... not sure how far down in the earth it was, but it was pretty good rolling here in Aurora.... I know the closer to the surface it is, the greater the damage so this must have been pretty powerful down below the earth to still have that intensity when it finally got moving... UPDATE: they evacuated a building on Hightech Road in Richmond Hill as computer monitors fell off desks on the 4th floor.... it was pretty strong here too.

Anyone care to discuss the possibility of strong thunderstorms this weekend across the great lakes? Brett seems to think they will be severe and with this humidity and the approaching cold front, it spells nasty to me. I don't know enough about the models so I'm hoping someone can enlighten us!

Can anybody give me a forecast for Parry Sound, Georgian Bay for this time period? EC says rain for the next 7 days, but it surely can't rain everyday, all day.... anybody see breaks in the clouds or what is the reason for this awful weather that we keep getting. Thanks, any input is appreciated as I leave tomorrow. Oh well, a rainy day at the cottage beats a good day in my office

Wednesday night in Newmarket saw 33 cm of snow on the ground/ Now I hear they are looking at another good dumping Monday night into Tuesday - I like winter and that last storm made up for lots of ones that didn't live up to their potential, but I need some sun......
