I have a question for everyone. How many of you are die hard storm chasers?I guess my definition if that being - Anyone who will do anything or go anywhere to chase.

I know I am!I don't get to chase every setup cause I live in Indiana and don't have the funds for it.However,I usually chase in the Plains at least a few times a year and always chase here in Indiana or Illinois if severe weather is looking like it is going to happen!

Does anyone on here hurricane chase? The reason I ask is my chase team and I are thinking of doing it a couple times in the 09' season and poss. once this year and I am wondering what kind of equipment you use, what you take along, and where you stay. Here are my present thoughts.

Our equipment will consist of two laptops,both with mobile internet(one with GRLevel 3 radar),a weather radio,3 weather stations,a handheld wind gauge,videos cams,photo cams,power converters,cell phones,flashlights,first aid kit,GPS.

we would bring several days supply of food, water, ice, clothes. And would prolly find shelter in a parking garage about 5 to 7 levels up.

Anyways those are my ideas.More would be appriciated because chasing tornadoes and chasing hurricanes are two diff. beasts!lol.

We were on the subject of scary movies. Now how about real or supposedly real haunted areas in your area weither city, county,or state.Any weird experiences?

I'll start. Here in Indiana we have several, but I have a really haunted spot about 10 miles from my house.Supposedly you can go out to this old cemetary called stepp cemetary in the forestry and on certian nights see a ghostly lady in a black dress rocking her baby on a stump.I've been there in the day but never at night.I have people that have been there and have their own weird experiences. That is the closest haunting to my house. However, there is always the haunted house in Mitchell Indiana and the Evansville library and many many more here in Indiana.

Okay,now it's y'alls turn!

Just thought i'd get this topic started.Does anyone else see the potential for severe weather on the 2nd and 3rd of March? It looks like there will be at least some moister and instability that might produce some severe weather.Any thoughts?

Hey everone,I have a question.I am a dedicated(addicted to.lol.) stormchaser and I was wondering across the internet for new weather software and found digital atmosphere.I was looking through the FAQ on there for the answer to the questions I am about to ask but found none.So my first question is,how useful do you think this program would be to a stormchaser and my main question is what are the diff. between digital atmosphere regular and pro?I sure appriciate any feedback I could get on this.Thanks.
