I know it won't be an issue for the majority of the forumers, here but there is a chance of a direct hit for Atlantic Canada by next week after passing close to Bermuda late this week/next weekend.

January 17-18 Canadian Pacific Coast Winter Storm?

Accuweather is showing a major snow event possible for the Vancouver and BC Coast midweek. They are saying possibly a historic snowstorm for Seattle, WA.

Snow threat next week?

Alex Sosnowski in his article today shows the threat of snow for eastern Ontario and western Quebec from a large storm system this is expected to affect all of the eastern part of the Continent on Wednesday/Thursday.

August 18th action

We had a pretty wicked storm that came through around 2 PM in the Gatineau area, but at my workplace we were on the northern fringe of the storm. At my place slightly further south, power went off.

Severe thunderstorm warning for
Prescott and Russell continued

At 3:00 PM EDT radar indicated that a line of severe thunderstorms from Rockland to Casselman to near Winchester. This line is moving east southeastward at 50 km/h. The line is expected to reach the St. Lawrence river near 5;00 PM.

These storms are capable of producing wind gusts to 100 km/h, local torrential downpours and 3 cm hail.

Severe thunderstorms are imminent or occurring in the area. These storms may produce large hail, damaging winds or heavy rainfall. Remember that some severe thunderstorms can also produce tornadoes.

Monitor weather conditions and take immediate safety precautions if threatening weather approaches.
