January 9-10 Winter Storm Mid-Atlantic/Northeast

GFS 192 Shows a miller A storm originating in the gulf and riding northeast up the coast. Something to carefully watch as the 500 millibar set up looks somewhat promising, with enough cold air, a decent block and a moderate strength high pressure to the northwest.

Feb 26-27 MidAtl/NE Winter Storm

Hey guys, looks like another possibility early to mid next week. Its been on the gfs for a few runs now, here is todays 18z run, from 192 and 204 hrs. And although, 00z doesnt have the storm in the same spot, the setup remains there, with a 1032 high before the storm approaches. Looks promising, but we shall see! Weve gotta get one eventually, and were running out of time for this year.
