Is the South becoming a more mild climate than used to be?

Just a question for ones to give their opinions on. I live in north MS and I can remember back when I was probably 12 or 13 we used to get good snow (for the south) but now it hardly even gets just bone chilling cold. Call me what you want but is there some type of reason for that or is it just another loss for us poor folks in the south who would love to get a few inches of snow. Don't get me wrong it has gotten pretty chilly here a couple of different times this year and we have seen a few flakes here and there but no accumilation. (sorry if thats not spelled right) So if you can help me out feel free to add comments.

hello i am 28 will be 29 in 9 days
i have two kids one boy (3) by past marriage and one girl (1) by new wife
been married 2 years and love this one (loved the other too but she was still young at heart and wanted to party too much for a family)
just a country boy who loves anything outside
work 12 hour shifts so can check out bout anytime
