LaCrosse WS-2310TWC Problem

This occurred to me last year, around October 2008... Tried many ways to fix it but I can't...

In October 2008, there was a violent thunderstorm (not particularly severe, just violent) that swept through my area. I was at a friend's house that night... My weather station worked perfectly fine before I left and before the t-strm. When I got home, the weather station stopped updating...

All the data appeared as ---. I tried changing the batteries, using a wire transmission instead of a wireless, resynchronize it by pressing the + button, but nothing worked... What could have possibly happened to my weather station?

I have posted this on many forums and seem to have no constructive replies. Hopefully members on Accuweather can help me out...

The weird thing is, the weather alarm still works. During a windy day, the wind alarm actually activated... Another strange thing is, the rain counter updates itself every few months... The day it stopped working had a total rainfall value of 600 mm...

When I checked several months ago, it told me the total rainfall value was 1,900 mm... And that there had been like 500 mm fell in the last 24 hours (which wasn't the truth, but I don't know what's happening)...

Can someone help me out and fix it? If not, it looks like I have to persuade my parents to get me a new one this Christmas... Thanks so much!!
