Hi weather forum!
Im ashley and Im a met student at plymouth state university. I am doing a project on the blizzard of 78 (topic question: how would things be different if a storm like the blizzard of 78 hit the northeast today?) I was hoping for some input. Im looking for your opinion on the subject. Are we more prepared? has the past and technology advancements helped us for a future event? or are we so stuck in a "we can do anything" mind set and rely too much on car and air travel that we will still have major problems?
any help would be wonderful, im trying for outsider input for some of my paper. Thank you!

Hello weather forum!
My name is ashley and I'm a met. student at plymouth state university. For one of my classes, im doing a research paper with the thesis question "how would a storm like the blizzard of '78 effect the northeast today?" I would like an outside input. With new technology and more preparedness, do you feel we could handle another Blizzard of '78? Take into account though- people's idealistic ways ("I can do it even though its a BLIZZARD outside), increase traffic, air travel, ect. Any input would be wonderful!
