Back by popular demand, this time the discussion is about the philosophy of motivation.
1)What do you think motivates an individual
Is it possible that money truly doesn't motivate us and it is the thought of being a part of a greater cause that drives us to excel?
Watch this video about the topic and let's get this discussion going

Looks like a major change from the dry weather of the past 45 days in California as we finally see an end to the record breaking dry(rainy season) that we have been having. The first storm is expected to hit NorCal on Wednesday but then a more potent storm will arrive Thursday night and effect almost all of California save the San Diego area. The most effects will be seen the further north you go as 4-7" of rain is expected in the Eureka area and then it tapers down to minuscule amounts near the LA area. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to the event.

A nice warm up on its way to California with some of the warmest air this year thus far! Based on the latest model projections 850MB temps look to hit around 20C for SoCal and about 15C next weekend and may even rise to higher than that beyond the period but we shall have to wait and see beyond that point in time. Stay tuned....

Cold trough tapping into a tropical moisture source near Hawaii to impact Northern California on Tuesday followed by Southern California on Wednesday. This will then be followed by a very cold snap( especially if the Euro@12Z is correct) with 850MB temps falling to between -5 and -10 Celsius. I'm thinking at this point that my area will experience overnight temps around the mid teens and daytime highs in the low 40's on Thursday and then again on New Years Eve. I'll provide periodic updates as usual

Based on latest forecasts there exists the possibility of a major shift in the weather pattern over California producing copious amounts of rainfall from the northern to the southern parts of the state. The GFS and the Euro both project several inches and in some cases close to a foot of rainfall over the course of 4-5 days starting late next week and continuing into the the week of Christmas. We could even see low snow levels( possible white Christmas for those who don't usually see it). More to come in the days ahead, especially if the model projections pan out.

Hi Alex! Just making my "rounds" and thought I'd stop by. I hadn't noticed your 5 star rating but congrats on that! You don't need mine but I'll add to it anyway. The people love ya or you wouldn't have it.
