Since many met folks rely on knowing whatever they can about El Nino and La Nina, just thought I'd throw this link out there for you folks (I work at NASA and post their hurricane updates ( http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/hurricanes/main/index.html ), and this was a feature for our shutters today): http://www.nasa.gov/topics/earth/features/...ng-la-nina.html

Here's a neat photo of the Pacific Ocean that we were watching for tropical development. Originally it was 2 low pressure systems, but one of them fizzled, and the only one still having any possibility for development is about 1500 miles east south-east of Hawaii. But it's neat to look at because you see a definitive line of clouds almost straight across the equatorial region :-)

How about if all the counties in the Mid-Atlantic sends ALL their salt supplies to the places who have already used up the 2/3 of their yearly allowance (that little stat I just heard on TWC)? If Murphy's Law holds true (like I usually find it does), the MA will get its snowfall since we won't have anyway to prep the roads.

Maybe a good snow dance?

Maybe bribing the snow gods with giving them our first-born?

(Yup - I'm desperate ... sad, ain't it?) laugh.gif

Any other thoughts or suggestions?
