Last Day at the Job

So I just got here for my last day here at Dish. I probably won't be lurking the halls of EE quite as much anymore, but I'll still check in on you guys from time to time. Everyone take care and have a great afternoon, I know I will. - Ben

Most EVIL Corporation

I'm gonna start with Walmart. For a number of reasons, but just to name one, it kills small town business and destroys the American entrepreneurial spirit. I will gladly pay a little more to a local grocer or retailer to avoid this place. I just think it's too high a cost for convenience.

Secret Santa

So Friday I was informed that today (Monday) we would be having a Secret Santa gift exchange amongst the 8 or 9 people in my department. Apparently one of the people on first shift suggested it, and now all of a sudden, thats just whats supposed to happen ($20 gift). I don't wanna be the scrooge or anything this year, but I'm up to my neck in bills, and have a hard enough time buying something for the people I actually want to give gifts to. I just wanted to know if anyone else has been sucked into this before without anyone asking if you wanted to participate. Would it be wrong of me to just give the gift that I get to the person I am supposed to give to and call it even? I don't even remotely like these people. Maybe I'm just a bad person.

What happened to the smart kid?

So whats up? I haven't seen that kid in a couple of weeks. Just wondering since I haven't seen anyone getting their chops busted about anything lately
