So not sure why there is no thread for the 'heatwave' which is going to effect the region early this week. Talking low to mid 80's for Monday through Wednesday, pretty warm for this time of year. tongue.gif

Surprised no thread was made, extremely heavy rain in CNJ right now moving NE towards NYC/LI:

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued an

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
northern Mercer County in central New Jersey...
southeastern Somerset County in northern New Jersey...
Middlesex County in northern New Jersey...

* until 430 PM EDT

* at 1237 PM EDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar and
spotter rainfall reports indicated that between one and two inches
of rain had fallen across portions of the advised area over the last

Excessive runoff from these storms will cause flooding of urban
areas... highways... streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage areas and low lying spots.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely. Move to higher ground.
