Starting a thread on this... Model runs have jumped around on low placement for this coming storm but all seem to be in the realm of a Low running just on or just off the coast of the Carolinas. This track will likely bring severe weather in the deep south, and Snows, mix and potentially Ice for North GA, Upstate SC, Western NC, and Eastern TN.

Figured I would open up a thread for those of us in the SE on this coming weekend/early next week storm potential. It looks like early snow accumulations for lower elevation locations are possible as far south as North Georgia and North Alabama this coming weekend and start of next week. Interesting set up for this early in the year. Models have been pretty consistent in showing a sort of 1-3 inch event for lower elevations from Dalton GA to Huntsville AL and north into Tennessee and Kentucky. Of course higher elevations much more.

Outside chance, but the potential does exist with a southern stream event coming out of Mexico, that Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, North Carolina, and North Georgia could see snowfall or ice. Odds higher for the mountains of these states but possibility does exist.

Creating a thread on this potential storm for at least the northern edges of the Southeast.
