Thought this would be an interesting topic to start.....I've looked around the forums and can't find something similar.

The answer to just about any weather/meteorological question can be found online but it's always nice to hold a book in your hand and be able to pull it off the shelf from time time as a reference. I was thinking that a rating may help readers of this thread get an idea of the type of book being described.

Maybe, a scale of 1-10 for entertainment value and the same scale for technical info.

Book I just finished,

Title: Isaac's Storm
Author: Erik Larson

Entertainment: 10
Technical Value: 3
(meaning this book is more of a story than a technical description)

The book is about the life of Isaac Cline, who was head of the weather bureau in Galveston durring the Great Hurricane of 1900. Really interesting as it gives you an idea of how the NWS started as well as a great depiction of the hurricane itself.
