Last few runs of the GFS have shown an extremely slow-moving frontal system stalling over Nova Scotia. Ice accretion amounts appear high and over a wide area.

48 hour accumlations for the event, red is 3 inches QPF. Much of this is freezing rain, snow to the north.

Looks like this guy has beefed up a bit as of late. Recent model runs have been bombing out this low following in the wake of the Feb. 11-13 event.

The runs are beginning to look interesting for the coast folks. Heavy rain for NS and eastern NB. West/central NB could get some now out of this. Heavy winds are just offshore so there's a risk for wind damage based on how this thing phases. Very compact for a nor'easter.
