All,
My domain (www.espwxctr.com) has expired and I have moved to a new site. Some of you may have been accessing some of the PHP scripts on there. Southern Maryland Weather www.somdweather.com Thanks!

Hello All,
I am trying to calculate the 0-1Km,0-3Km, and 0-6 KM shear. I am wondering how this is done. Is this a cumulative mean of u anc v components or is just the surface and upper wind component endpoints used? Thanks! Jim

All,
I am lokking at BUFKIT (RUC) data and I see that the EQ LVL and LFC are in millibars. Is there a way to convert this to an actual height in the atmosphere either in Ft or meters? Thanks! Jim

All,
I have created several scripts which decode HDOB (high density observation) and VORTEX message from aircraft reports of tropical systems. Here are the pages to those scripts: www.espwxctr.com/vortex.php www.espwxctr.com/hdob.php Also, I have created an Upper Level AIR Data and RUC2 scripts. You can place station IDs to suit your location: www.espwxctr.com/convreport.php?station=KIAD&rucstation=KIAD Enjoy! Jim |
