I would like to have a way to generate tabular reports on historical weather data for certain regions such as counties or portions of a state.
All I need is basic data such as precipitation and high-low temps for the previous ten- or twenty-year period for a given county or region.
Ideally, I would like to be able to select a county or region from a map or drop-down list, select the data desired, select a date range, and generate the report.
If this is do-able, then I would add that having the option to export the data to a comma-delimited, tab-delimited, or Excel format would be way cool.
Graphs are nice, but if I have the tabular data I can make my own graphs.
I'm a forester, and the management recommendations I give to landowners are dependent on soil and weather data, among other things. I have access to all the soil and 'other things' data that I can stand. But historical weather data is the weak link in the chain.
Thanks for your consideration.
