My VP1 is usually displaying temperatures higher compared to my mercury thermometer. I was thinking of recalibrating the temperature but I just wanted to check with you guys to see if its common to have to adjust the temp calibration. Should I leave the calibration on the factory settings and assume that is the most accurate or should I tweak them? Have any of you guys had to recalibrate your temperature?

For the most part I'm really satisfied with my cabled VP1, there are just a couple things I would want improved.

- Display every tenth of a degree. I really can't understand why such an expensive weather station is unable to display every .1 value. Its really annoying when I'm monitoring the temperature and it skips over a value.

- I would like to see the console store temperature data more accurately, to the tenth of a degree instead of rounding off to the whole degree.

Thats all I can think of right now.

I'm just curious how fast the sensor on the Vantage pro stations reacts to temperature change. I'm asking because I notice that official temperature readings from the airport usually drop a lot quicker on nights with good radiational cooling than on my VP1. Is the sensor slower to react or is it just my location/setup of my station. Also before I got my VP1 I had a plain old thermometer outside my window and it used to react very quickly to temperature changes and was usually always similar to official readings at the airport.

I've had my weather station for about a year now. I'm just curious what some of your thoughts are on Weatherlink. I'm considering purchasing it but the price seems a little steep. I don't plan on using it to put my obs over the internet so is it still worth it? What other benefits do you think it has over the console? I've read the information about it from the Davis website but I want to hear from some of you what you like/dislike about the software. I appreciate your help.

Today while I was watching my console I noticed data stopped coming and all the readings froze for a couple minutes. I have a cabled VP1 which will be one year old in September. Up until this I have never noticed any stoppage in data coming in. I've been watching it since that happened earlier this afternoon and it has been working fine. Its not a major problem but I'm just curious if this can be expected from time to time or is something starting to fail?

Thanks for your help.
