Currently I am using a Vantage Pro2 with the WI-FI Hautespot weather computer from Ambient that auto uploads to Wunderground ect. without a PC attached. I would like to have software on my local computer to view graphs, real time reading ect. through my home network. I like the look of a third party software program and it looks like now my weatherlink software will not work for this. I also am not sure if this is even possible due to the fact I will not have my station attached to a PC with a program running. I also do not believe I would be able to pull anything but real time readings since my weather station is always hooked up to the Hautespot unit. Any thoughts?

Has anyone used the wi-fi feature with the new Hautespot computer from Ambient? I have checked and verified all settings are correct on my router and my Hautespot device and it will not "associate" with the roter via wi-fi. The Hautespot device is set for wi-fi and all the encryption settings are correct. It will however connect via the ethernet port and send data. HELP PLEASE

I noticed that when the direct sun is on my solar panel, the fan runs. When there is a slight overcast, or if it is cloudy, the fan is not running at all. I assumed that the fan would still run in the daytime when it wasn't clear out, just a little slower maybe. I did try and point the panel skyward by unclipping it, but it still did nothing. This is not a big deal, I just wanted to see if this it completely normal. The solar panel probably doesn't gather enouth light under cloudy conditions to operate.

I recently installed my VP2 and noticed that the temp readings are 2-4 degrees too high, even with the day time fan aspirated shield. Is it possible to relocate the solar panel in a seperate loction, away from the sensors? That would allow me to still have the solar panel in the sunlight while shading the ISS. Another option I was considering, was to come up with some sort of shield to put around the unit (a few inches away) to try and block the sun, while allowing the unit to breathe.
Any help would me much appreciated.

Would it be possible to run two different weather software programs on the same computer? I'm asking because I like the features of FreeWX-Wi but like the data collection modes of other software programs. Can you make an adapter to split the cable and run it to two different usb ports?
